Janice brings a tremendous amount of talent into the field of Permanent Cosmetics. Janice got into the Skin Care business several years ago when she was quite young after she sold a most successful cleaning business to enter into this area. She started as a Mary Kay Consultant and worked her way up to driving a Mary Kay car and had about 30 consultants under her wing when she felt this was not what she wanted. Janice wanted a better way to "Make A Difference" in people's lives and she chose Electrolysis as a starting point. Electrolysis offered Janice a way to help those with excessive hair problems. She studied for 6 months at the Southeastern Institute in South Carolina; her course of study included a heavy emphasis on the medical aspects of Electrolysis and body systems. Janice then went on to become certified as a Clinical and Medical Electrologist known as a C.C.E. which she maintains the five year re-certification current through Continuing Education units known as CEUs. Janice has trained on the use of lasers for hair removal, but does not offer that service at this time. Janice later decided to expand into a related field of helping people when she discovered the benefits of Permanent Make Up or also known as Permanent Cosmetics. As with everything she does, Janice jumped in by studying with the best National Trainer in the business and once her Basic Instruction was finished, she took off running. Janice now is a National Trainer for Permanent Cosmetics and Board Certified, she teaches the Basic Course and many techniques in her various Advanced Training Classes; some of these include, but are not limited to: eye shadow, cheek blush, camouflage techniques, tattoo removal, application of small, tasteful tattoos; areola enhancement; special application techniques; and many others. Permanent Cosmetics has rounded out most of the areas Janice felt would help the most people and she has excelled in this field as she has in every endeavor she has tackled.

New and exciting! A leading corporation in our industry has asked us to join with them in the development of our current Training Manual into a formal course text to be published. Janice and her husband, Lou, will author this text to be used by large, formal schools throughout the country and even overseas!

Janice feels that no one should be satisfied with "just getting along" so she takes more CEUs than most and continues to stretch wanting to know more and develop her skills in a never-ending search for better ways to better serve her clients.

Janice just opened her own clinic recently in the St. Marys, Georgia area, but is still with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who is now on a leave of absence so she also has Surgeon Richard L. Brandon, MD as a Medical Director giving prospective clients the assurance she "knows her craft!" ... And she does! Janice has added Skin Peels and MicroDermAbrasion to the services provided in her clinic. Janice also teaches several Permanent Cosmetic courses in Kernersville, NC in the clinic, Aboutface on 'N' Cherry Street. So she provides most of the procedures to help people enhance their appearance and to help those with problems like: nervous disorders that prevent ladies from applying eye liner because they shake too much; or skin problems such as Vitiligo; or Areola enhancement and Scar Tissue Relaxation and Camouflage after breast surgery; and others too numerous to mention in this biography.

"Knows Her Craft," Janice is known and respected by many people in the industry and in associated industries. People come to her for information and advice. For example, NAILS Magazine came to Janice recently for information on Permanent Make Up that featured her and a few other professionals in the March 2002 issue of NAILS. Janice has lectured at: the University of North Florida on Electrolysis ,Sanitation, and Sterilization; on a regular basis, a guest professional to lecture and introduce Cosmetology students to Permanent Cosmetics at Macon Technical College, Macon, Georgia; and the guest speaker at social and civic clubs such as Rotary.

Recently, Janice was asked by the Olmstead Medical Center in MN to provide training at their Medical Center for the staff on their regular patients who needed Areola Restoration procedures after Cancer Surgery. This was followed by teaching at a medical spa in San Bernardino, California.

Always wanting to provide the best to her students, Janice developed and obtained a Copyright to her Basic Training Manual that is issued to anyone taking her recognized, Basic Course taught in accordance with the requirements of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals known as the SPCP. This manual is available to those who are already in the business who would like to the best reference available. The State of Oklahoma was provided a copy of this manual, at their request, to be used as a reference for their Adult Education system. Janice is in the process of developing an Advanced Techniques Reference Manual that should be available soon.

In summary, Janice offers the best in Permanent Make Up procedures and the Education of Permanent Make Up by teaching the Basic Course and various Advanced Courses. She also provides Electrolysis services and teaches the complete Electrolysis Course. Janice provides MicroDermAbrasion services and teaches and sells MicroDermAbraison machines. Janice provides Skin Peels and sells the Institut' DERMed, formerly Dermess, line of Skin Care Products. Other areas of services are: Janice sells a complete line of Permanent Cosmetics Supplies that includes machines, pigments, and all related supplies to technicians. All and all, Janice is a "complete" professional with the main interest of providing clients with the very best in business ethics, services, and supplies.

Note. Janice attends Continuing Education Courses (CEUs) on an regular basis. Janice's has attended the SPCP National Conventions for more CEUs to keep her current with technique and legal changes. Just prior to one of the SPCP Conventions, Janice attended and set up a booth at the CCTA Convention in San Antonio Texas; this was the first convention for this new and up and coming professional society. Janice attended the AAM Conference in Orlando, Florida, in October & did attend the April 2007 Convention in San Diego; during the the 2002 AAM Conference, she took the important CMI Examination; Janice was notified December 27 of that year that she was now a National Certified Instructor and Board Certified (CMI). As a result of this significant achievement, Janice now holds the top certifications in all of the leading societies! There are less than 60 National Trainers in the world and there are less then 50 in the United States. Janice is also a Certified Micropigmentation Instructor. Janice received 15 Hours of Continuing Education Credits by Attendance at the Third Annual Fall Conference of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals September 14-15, 2002, San Antonio, Texas. Janice Satisfactorily completed the initial training course for: Bloodborne Pathogens, September 15, 2002, and has updated the BBP each year at the SPCP Conference or Conventions which meets the requirements of Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens, 29 CFR 1910.1030. Janice has taken all the upgrades to this course and she took the upgrade to the Bloodbourne Pathogens October 17, 2006 in Toronto, Canada in addition to the required Continued Education Units offered at the 2006 conference. Janice has attended conferences and conventions to date and keeps her Bloodbourne Pathogens and First Aid expertise up to date.

Janice reached the top by becoming a CPCP with the SPCP & a CMI & Board Certified with the AAM! Janice is now a former member of the SPCP and former CPCP with the SPCP. Janice left the SPCP when the SPCP changed its direction from what Janice expected a major society should be doing.

Lou and her son, Justin, have attended the AAM, and the SPCP conventions. Lou has just added another service that of teaching the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 for Bloodborne Pathogens.
