Lou Eyerly, CDT

Lou Eyerly, Janice's husband, resigned August 9, 2002 as the Chief Professional Officer of a United Way after serving in that capacity for 14 years. Lou received official recognition from several organizations for his United Way service to the community. The organizations included the Governor of Georgia, Roy Barnes, Rotary, and the Chamber of Commerce. Lou resigned to devote all of his time to working with Janice. He maintains: the web sites, the bookkeeping, administrative matters, training manual editing and publishing, photographic documentation, and prospective student interface to answer questions and book students. Now Lou has become a Derma Tech and assists Janice in all areas of her practice. Janice offers Basic and Advanced Training Courses in Permanent Cosmetics, Electrolysis, and MicroDermAbraison. Lou now is teaching the OSHA CFR 1910.1030, Bloodborne Pathogen Course.

New and exciting! Lou will co-author a text book with Janice on Permanent Cosmetics. This text will be developed from their current Training Manual. It will be marketed to large, formal organizations as the text for their Permanent Cosmetics courses.

Lou Eyerly is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals (SPCP), and supports the American Academy of Micropigmentation (AAM) where Janice is an active member of these societies.

Lou's Background. Lou retired after 28.5 years proudly serving on submarines both as an enlisted man and submarine officer in the U.S. Navy. Prior to joining the Navy, he worked in his family's resort, Eyerly's, located in the North end of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; he also was a Tool & Die Inspector for 3 years. During Lou's service to our country his most significant positions were: Skipper of the deep ocean exploration mini-submarine, Sea Cliff where he worked on ocean bottoms conducting scientific research throughout the world at depths greater than a mile and one-half deep, his deepest dive was on the new Sea Cliff to 15,000 feet to the ocean floor; he was the Commanding Officer of the USS Los Alamos with a crew of 212 men operating in Holy Loch, Scotland; he was the Deputy of Plans and Operations for Submarine Development Group One, San Diego, California ; and he was the Chief Staff Officer of Submarine Squadron 16 until he retired. Lou feels fortunate to have had a great career and personal life; he was a diver, his been faster than Mach 2, higher than 60,000 feet high, deeper than 15,000 feet to the ocean's bottoms, and served on our nation's submarines in support of freedom for everyone, everywhere.

Lou attends Continuing Education Courses (CEUs) on an ongoing basis. Lou's latest was: 15 Hours of Continuing Education Credits by Attendance at the Third Annual Fall Conference of the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals September 14-15, 2002, San Antonio, Texas. Lou Eyerly Satisfactorily completed his initial training course for: Bloodborne Pathogens, September 15, 2002, which meets the requirements of Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens, 29 CFR 1910.1030. Lou just upgraded his expertise by teaching Bloodborne Pathogens since September 2006 after training in Toronto, Canada at the SPCP Conference.

Lou, Janice, and her son, Justin, attended the SPCP National Convention in West Palm Beach, Florida for Continuing Education. And Janice and Lou attend conferences and conventions on a regular basis.
